RITE OF THE LAMP | 2024

The Rite of the La,mp is the solemn celebration of the Mystery of the Anointing of the Sick. Traditionally celebrated by seven priests, a vigil of seven watches is held over a sick person’s bedside (or in the church during the celebration during Passion Week) consisting of hymns, scripture, and prayer concluding in the consecration of the Oil of the Sick and anointing of those present.
